Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the Bowers family at this time. I was proud to know Steven for over 40 years and he was like a brother to me as he was to so many people. Steven's smile and infectious laugh naturally made people gravitate towards him and want to be around him and when you got to know him he was a warm and caring friend. He was a true Grandview legend and was known as "The King of 1st Avenue". I will forever keep the good times we had in my heart. May God bless Steven and may he rest in peace.

Our love, prayers, and deepest sympathy goes out to Steves family and friends he left here on earth. Knowing that Steve is in Heaven and been reunited with Mom, Dad, Sis, and all his family that he loved so much, hopefully will provide some comfort in our time of grief. It is sad as we grow older, to hear of a friend or classmate's passing. The finality brings a rush of so many feelings; a return to youth, a reminder of our own frailty. Our youthful memories of cruising the ave, parties, and fun are suddenly brought to the surface as we mourn the passing of yet another member of our childhood. May you rest in the eternal peace of heaven that you could not find here on earth.
