Obituary

Dolores “Dee” (Beltram) Jacoby, 90, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 14th, 2024. Dee was born on November 20th, 1933 to Alexander and Nancy (Pedri) Beltram. Raised in Grandview, Ohio, she was the eldest of three children, with two younger brothers, Bob and Walt. She graduated from St Joseph's Academy in Grandview in 1951 and began working at MetLife Insurance upon graduation. She was married to Thomas H. Jacoby for 28 years. Dee’s greatest joy was being the mother of three beautiful children; Thomas Byron Jacoby, Nancy Lynne Jacoby Biggard, and Timothy Alan Jacoby. After staying home to raise her children, she pursued a career in nursing at what is now Ohio State East Hospital. She was a loving and caring nurse there for over 30 years until her retirement, just shy of her 80th birthday. Dee loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, attending farmer’s markets, and going to the movies. Her home always had an open door for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her kitties. She was always ready with a pot of coffee and something good to eat. We celebrate Dee’s heavenly reunion with her mother, father, and brothers. She will be watching over her children Tom (Susan), Nancy, and Tim, her beloved grandchildren Zak (Stacy), Courtney (Sean), Amelia (Lucas), Alex (Claire) and Rachel, her great grandchildren Lydia, Lilah and Stevie, as well as extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held for immediate family on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 1 pm at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137 followed by a celebration of life for all to attend at Rusty Bucket located at 7800 Olentangy River Rd from 6:00-9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an animal rescue of your choice.

Dear Jacoby Family,

Betsy and I are saddened to learn about your beloved mother and grandmother. We thank Tim for bringing her to meet us for at the Columbus Museum of art. We enjoyed viewing the exhibit with her and lunch afterwards. It was a gift to meet her and have her share insights and thoughts.

All our thoughts are with the entire family

I absolutely loved your Mom and Nonna! She really knew how to make people feel important and appreciated. She had a personality like no other, and that is why she was adored so much. I know she'll miss all who loved her most more than you could miss her, and that's a beautiful thing.

I pray that through all your tears that you find smiles as you think about the many amazing memories you made together!

I used to live next door to Dee, at 1940. Such a sweet neighbor. We talked many times about our work, as I also worked at St. Anthony Hospital (now OSU East). Lovely lady, she was!!! Blessings and condolences
