Obituary
Daniel A Manter, age 83, passed away September 15, 2024. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 6, 1940. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Marlene (Patterson) Manter; daughters, Debra Ruesga, Danielle (Angelo) Catenacci, and Allison Davies. He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Nicholas (Reve) and Kailey Ruesga, Gianni and Sophia Catenacci, Cameron and Giavanna Taylor; and great-grandchild, Kylo Ruesga, whom were the loves of his life; siblings, Patricia Murphy, Nancy Imes, Joe Manter, Jack (Debbie) Manter, Jimmy Manter, Jeff (Teri) Manter; and brother-in law, Mark Vallera. He was Uncle Danny to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Louise (Piercoro) Manter; and sister, Teresa Vallera. He graduated from North High School in 1958 and joined the Marines following his graduation and went on to receive a Master's in Computer Science from Barry University. He loved how his career took him on many travels where he made lifelong friendships. Dan was known for his charismatic personality, always making him the life of the party. His passions in life were spending time with family and friends, traveling, the ocean, fishing, The Ohio State Buckeyes, but his greatest joy in life was being a Papa to his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 3-7 pm at JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL, 1177 W 5th Ave Columbus, Ohio 43212, and a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:30 pm.
