Obituary

Corwin R. "Bud" Morey, age 91, born November 27, 1918, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, passed away November 18, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Corwin proudly served in the US Marine Corps during WWII. He was a POW and a Purple Heart recipient. Corwin is preceded in death by his lovely wife of 48 years Lena, parents Raymond Morey and Minnie McCormick, sisters Eleanor (George) Ralston, Leah (Gordon) Moore, Sarah Morey, brother, Robert Morey and grand-daughters, Ann and Mary Hawkins. He is survived by his daughters; Patricia (Mickey) Hawkins and Donna (Christopher) Fox, son Jeffrey (Regina) Morey, thirteen grandchildren: Scott (Jennifer) Hawkins, Joseph (Olivia) Hawkins, Daniel (Amy) Hawkins, Karen (Jamie) Hardy, Victoria (Daniel) Mendez, Christopher Fox, Nicole (Ryan) Mikel, Michael Fox, Rachel Fox, Jennifer Morey, Jeffrey Morey, Angela Morey and Angel Morey. Corwin is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Andrew, Taylor, Michayla, Ava, Lena, and Emily Hawkins; Ryley Mendez, Cecilia and Trevor Mikel, sister-in-law Mary (Bud) Sansone, brothers-in-law, Angelo Bucci, and Tony Pusateri and many nieces, nephews and friends. A very special thanks to all the staff at The Forum at Knightsbridge and Hospice Outreach. Friends may call SUNDAY, November 21, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on MONDAY November 22 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Rev. Fr. James T. Smith, Presider. FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Bud to the Holy Family Soup Kitchen 584 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

My deepest sympathy to all of you on Bud's passing. My father, Chink Fronce, was a cousin of Bud's and my brother's middle name is Corwin after Bud. My family fondly remembers earlier years spent with Bud and Aunt Minnie. Please know you are in our prayers.
