Obituary

Constance L. Magnacca, age 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 1, 2024, at her residence at Otterbein Gahanna Senior Living. She was born September 14, 1940, of the late Alfred Coccia Sr. and Eleanor Benante Coccia, in Columbus, Ohio. Connie grew up in Columbus where she met her beloved husband, Domenic. She was a 1958 graduate of Mifflin High School. Connie's life focus was her faith, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Domenic A. Magnacca; parents, Alfred Coccia, Sr. and Eleanor Benante Coccia, Elia Blateri Coccia, Norma DeMatteis Coccia; sisters, Patricia Lehman and Joann Hurtt; and brother, Fred DeMatteis. Connie is survived by sons, Michael (Mary Lynne) Magnacca of Toledo, Ohio David (Joan) Magnacca of New Albany, Ohio, and Anthony Magnacca of New Albany, Ohio; grandchildren, Christopher (Lauren), Alyssa (Scott), Maria, Cara and Katelyn; great-grandchild, Gianna; sisters, Mary (Leigh) Ashbaugh of Crown Point, Indiana, Margie (Bill) Butz of Salinas, California, and Linda DeMatteis of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; brothers, Alfred (Nancy) Coccia, Jr. of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Michael (Betsy) Coccia of Gahanna, Ohio, Jerry (Kathy) Coccia of Sunbury, Ohio and Mark Coccia of Bellville, Ohio and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Special thanks to Otterbein Gahanna Senior Living and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care and support. Friends may call on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W 5th Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 4-7 pm. A Rosary will begin at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 280 N. Grant Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43215 at 10 am. A procession will follow to the chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
