Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles David Schloss, age 92, who passed away on January 25, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio. David was born on September 4, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a 1950 graduate of Bath High School, after which he attended The Citadel, graduating in 1954. Following graduation from The Citadel, David attended the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and went on to serve as a Captain in the US Air Force as a medical doctor. He accepted residency in Radiology at the Ohio State Medical Center and continued to practice medicine for over forty years. David will be remembered as kind, generous, and fun-loving. David is survived by his children, Susan (Nick Beeler) Circone and Jeffrey Schloss; grandchildren, Amie Ladd, Paul Collins, Mary and Jeffrey Schloss; his great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Charlie Ladd; and sister, Sarah "Sally" (Don) Turner. David was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Schloss; his daughter, Laura Collins; his father, Charles Kenneth Schloss; his mother, Dolores Schloss; and his brother, Thomas Schloss. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in David's memory to Charity Newsies, an organization to which he devoted many years of volunteer service and support.
