Obituary
Cathy A. Della Flora, age 57 passed away unexpectedly in her home on January 10, 2025 She was a devoted Mother of 1 and as total water baby, Cathy enjoyed competitive swimming, both as a youth and later by spending time at Ocean Isle and Sunset Beach in North Carolina where we went at least once a year since 1991. She loved gardening and her perennial flowers which will be a beautiful reminder in the coming years. She also enjoyed her 5-minute Mystery books and watching Survivor while riding her exercise bike. She was a graduate of Ohio State University. She was and loved being a Buckeye. She met her husband John at OSU, and they later married in Jamaica in 1994. She also got to see her son graduate from OSU in 2023, one of her proudest moments. Cathy was a straight shooter- so you always knew where you stood with her. She was a real pistol, but most of all she loved her son Michelangelo. She will be in our hearts forever. There will be a visitation on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W. 5th Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 3-5 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5pm.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person who shared her gifts and talents with Franklin County youth. She had such energy and compassion. Although she was a straight shooter it was one of her endearing qualities. May your fond memories comfort you.

I will truly miss your presence at SunSet Beach each year. Although that is the only time I was with you, we both enjoyed laying in the sun and talking with all of our Ohio friends & relatives. Rest in Peace Cathy.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Cathy's passing. She was truly one of a kind – spunky, energetic, and full of life. Her directness and outspokenness were refreshing, and her compassion and care for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She often spoke so lovingly about her husband and son, and it was clear how much you both meant to her. Her adventurous spirit and zest for life were contagious, and she brought light and energy wherever she went.
