Obituary
Carol “Gypsy” Gallo 85, peacefully passed away Christmas morning 2024 surrounded by loved ones at the Kobacker House. Carol was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Nick and Frances Giantonio. Carol was best known for her love of family. As a daughter she took care of her mother and father in the good times and bad. Carol spent numerous hours at the family bakery, Giantonios, helping out. As a sister she had very close relationship with her sister Louise Gambs, her brother-in-law, Dick and special nephew, Rick. Carol and Louise shared numerous hours vacationing, shopping, and raising Nick, Tom and Rick. They were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to model together for Lazarus Company in Columbus for many years. They were often referred to as “The Dolly Sisters”. Both of them shared a bond that can only be described as special. Carol was a devoted wife to her husband Bo for over 40 years, a relationship that began when she came into O.P. Gallo Tuxedo to buy a suit for her then boyfriend that ended with Bo asking for a first date. After pulling Bo from his mother’s loving care she was finally able to get a 50 year old Bo to the altar. They shared a beautiful life filled with family and friends. Along the ride Bo, known for giving nicknames, coined his best, Gypsy. From that moment on Carol was always his Gypsy and he was always her Bo Bo. Carol was a loving mother to her two boys Nick and Tom (her “town clown”). As a mother she provided love, support, compassion, and understanding. She dedicated her life to the three men in her life. Carol was a loving grandmother to Christiana “Chrissy”, Vittorio “Bo” and Giovanni “Gio”. They were the light of her life. Chrissy was the daughter Carol always wanted to spoil with clothes and jewelry and shared an incredible bond. We are so grateful she was able be such a loving influence on their lives. Carol was a typical Italian woman that was set in her ways and never shy to express them. She will be missed, but make no mistake, she is finally back to with her Bo Bo and he has his Gypsy back. The love story continues. The Family would like extend our deepest thanks to the staff at Kobacker House. If angels in fact walk this earth, then you will find them there. In lieu of flowers we would ask you please make a donation in the memory of Carol to The Kobacker House. Carol will be missed by all. Her spirit will on forever on the hearts that knew her best.

Carol and I worked side-by-side at the Ohio State Bank in the 70s. Bo and Carol embraced me like family inviting me to their home before and after the boys were born. Carol was a caring lady who shared wisdom and love every day at work. I will forever cherish my memories of the Gallo family. Peace, prayers, and blessings!

I always called my cousin Carol Ann she told me I was one of very few that did . Carol Ann was always so caring, loving and one of the classiest LADIES I ever knew . She loved my Cenci Italian Pizzelles. I mailed her a fancy Christmas box filled with some the week before Christmas . I sure hope Nick or Tommy took them to her in the hospital . They were her favorite cookies our grandmother Cenci’s recipe and I was the only one that still make them . Each cookie has the Cenci name baked into the center of them . A gift of that special pizzelle iron given to me on an anniversary from my
Loving husband . I couldn’t wait to share those special cookies with my sisters Tonie Cenci Quinn and Jacci Cenci McGrody and my nieces nephews and cousins . My mother Irene Cenci always said that Carol Ann was her favorite niece her abd her parents Uncle Nickie and Aunt Frances my Dad's sister lived close by near Berwick . Our mother Irene has been in heaven for 45 years this week so we know what it’s like to lose a loved one at Christmas time and now she is reunited with her special niece. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all . We were all so blessed to have such a fantastic woman in our lives. May God Bless you all and keep
You in His Loving arms .

My condolences to the Gallo boys Nicky and Tommy. Bo and Carol were some of the nicest people I have ever known. They were my neighbors growing up and I babysat the boys often. When I got married Bo gifted the men with tuxes to wear as a gift. my wedding was the last time I saw them but have thought of them and spoke of them often. I know they are together again and may they rest in peace!

Blessings of Peace to Nick, Tom, Rick, and beautiful family.
It hurts our hearts when our loved ones leave this earth, while holding on to the remembered warmth of their conversations and caring embraces.
I pray memories shared will bring you sweet comfort, and pray each relationship with Jesus is stirred and strengthened, for one day it will come to pass, that we shall finally see Him, our Creator face to face, as we stand alongside our beloveds once again.
