I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Barbara when she was a litigation paralegal at Vorys. She was the lead paralegal on a number of significant matters and a true professional in every respect. I am terribly sorry to hear of her passing, and hope that fond memories of Barbara will comfort all of her loved ones.

As a paralegal in our firm to her last day, Barbara never complained of her health challenges. It is a measure of her dedication and compassion for client families dealing with the loss of loved ones that some of them, upon learning of her death, have inquired about memorial arrangements. She was kind, helpful and empathetic to all with whom she worked. We miss her greatly, but glad she is now resting in the arms of the Lord.

Barbara distinguished herself as a paralegal. I will always remember the many times that Barbara went the extra mile to get difficult projects done under stressful circumstances, and how seriously she took her responsibilities to our clients. In the process, Barbara remained kind, generous, patient and able to see the humor in things, all of which made it my good fortune to work with her on many cases. I am thankful for the opportunity that Maryline and Abigail and I had to see Barbara, and meet Tom Culberson, through a chance encounter at a concert in February. And I am grateful for the warm welcome of the congregation at St. Luke's United Methodist Church (a place that was very special to Barbara) when I visited on Sunday to join you in remembering Barbara.

I learned to know Barbara through colleagues of mine at Vorys. A number of us would get together several times a year for dinner. I saw Barbara last December but she wasn’t well enough to go to dinner. Barbara would always talk about her church and it was apparent that it was close to her heart. Along with all of you, I will miss Barbara.

Barbara and I were friends for more than 30 years. When we no longer worked together we continued our friendship, meeting often for dinner. I will always cherish our times together and Barbara will forever remain in my heart.

Please accept my deepest, albeit delayed, sympathies. Barb and I had many great times in our childhood and Jr high years. High school took us towards different interests/paths...she with the yearbook development and me in band. Glad to hear she found a career that used her love of reading/research. May you be continually held/supported by our Lord, Jesus. He feels your loss/grief and will fill that hole in your heart with His immeasurable love. God bless.
