Arthur Charles Erdman, age 89, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, son and brother, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Arlington Court. He was born on August 19, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Arthur Herman and Helen (Rohal) Erdman, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Erdman in 1999; his in-laws, Harry and Helen Cameron; and sister-in-law, Joanne Cameron. He is survived by his sons, Wayne (Tonia Ciotola) Erdman and Brian (Linda Watson) Erdman; grandchildren, David (Colleen), Daniel (fiance, Aly), Andrew (Kim), Melissa (fiance, Chris), Justin (fiance, Jessica), Lauren and Paige; also, four great-grandchildren; brothers, Wesley Erdman of Dayton, Ohio and Richard (Patricia) Erdman of Columbia City, Indiana; nieces, nephews and friends. He was a graduate of John Adams High School, Cleveland, Ohio, and later receiving both his bachelor's degree and master's degree from The Ohio State University in electrical engineering, where he was a professor of electrical engineering for over 30 years. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy (1944-1945), and was an amateur radio enthusiast with call # W8VWX. The family wishes to thank the staff of Arlington Court Nursing Home for their care over the past several years. Thank you also to Heartland Hospice for their care and concern and support.
