Obituary

Armida (Ricevuto) Greulich, age 96, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Charlie Greulich; her parents, Salvator and Vincenza Ricevuto; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Dorothy Ricevuto and Guido and JoAnn Ricevuto; and her niece, Linda Berridge. Armida is survived by her devoted son, Charles Vincent Greulich, and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Foley Greulich. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Charles Michael, Katie, James, and John. She is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews, and by her Goddaughter, Mary Moro and husband, Jerry. Mary's loving care, especially in Armida's last years, was a blessing. Armida graduated from Linden McKinley High School and was a longtime employee of both Timken Roller Bearing Company and Kroger. She made lifelong friends as a member of the Iota Tau Sigma Sorority. She was known as an avid baker and her cookies brought joy to many. In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held, and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, friends are invited to honor Armida's memory by sharing a simple kindness with others - and if it involves cookies, Armida would surely approve!

I remember your mom and grandma teaching me how to make the old Italian cookies with my mom(Mary). Armida was a very special person. She was a kind and caring person. I am so sorry for your loss.

Arminda was a truly happy and bright person. She always had a smile on her face. For special events she was always there with a bright smile and kind words. I enjoyed hearing stories of her going dancing and baking. She was there with cookies during tough times as well. When I had my accident she brought trays of cookies for us. And she came over to cook with me to cheer me up. She was a wonderful person and will truly be missed. I will always remember the acorn cookies were my favorite. She was the only one who would take the time to make such a time consuming cookie every Christmas. God Bless her soul.

I remember when I was in the Navy and couldn't come hone for Christmas, I called Armida and asked if she could send me a couple of her cookie recipes. About a week later, I received an envelope from her. Inside were all of her cookie recipes that she had hand written to send to me. I spent the whole Christmas season making all her recipes. I also remember she made all the cookies for my wedding. I also remember the time we toilet papered their house and she and Charlie called the police on us and then looked out their front room window laughing at us. Turns out the police that came were friends of my brother-in-law who was a policeman. I went to see her in the nursing home a few times. At first she didn't know me, but after talking a while, she seemed like her own self for a time. Chuck - you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
