Obituary

Antonio Polletta, age 87, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born April 27, 1935 in Pontelandolfo, Italy. Antonio came to America in January 1959, and became an American citizen on June 25, 1962. Antonio spent his life working in the concrete construction industry. Antonio was a man without enemies. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family of which he was extremely proud. Antonio is proceeded in death by his brothers, Rocco (Angela Maria) and Salvatore Polletta and sister Maria Testa. Antonio is survived by his loving spouse, Gioconda "Jackie" Polletta; sons, Anthony (Cindy), Ralph (Tammy), Dan (Madeleine), Michael (Pi); grandchildren, Maria, Rachel, Robert, David, Stephanie, Jennings and six great-grandchildren; sister, Donatella; sister-in-law Lina Polletta, and many nieces and nephews. Antonio's family wishes to give special thanks to the ladies on the memory care floor at Bickford on the Scioto that cared for him. Our thanks to Father Michael Lumpe for his spiritual guidance and support through this time. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43212. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Dementia Society of America or Lewy Body Dementia Association.
