Obituary

Angelo O. Marinelli, age 81, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, died on Sunday April 14, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Angelo was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Andrew Parish where he served as an usher, the Knights of Columbus Council #11275, Guild Athletic Club, University Lodge 631 F & AM, the Aladdin Shriners (Legion of Honor and Provost Units), Hilliard Moose Lodge, ELKS and the American Legion Grove City Post. Angelo retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Commerce. Besides all his fraternal brothers, he will also be missed by his golfing buddies and the McDonald's breakfast club. Angelo was proud to have been a golf champion at the Riverview Country Club where he been a member. He is preceded in death by his wife, Reba (Christman) Marinelli; parents, Joseph and Mary (Petruzzi) Marinelli; brother and sister-in-law, Orlando and Jan Marinelli; son-in-law, Bill Morris; brother-in-law, Tom Evans. Survived by son, Joseph Marinelli; daughter, Tonya Morris (Gene Jones); girlfriend, Maryellen Spinks; sisters, Delores (Jim) Mahaney, Roseann Evans and Theresa (Ray) Mangini; brother, Tony (Martha) Marinelli; in-laws, Susie Hunnell, Glenna (Ron) Hall and Glenn (Sandy) Christman; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4-8 p.m., with fraternal services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Upper Arlington. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Columbus. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Angelo to the Shriner Hospitals for Children, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati (45229).
