Born in Italy on June 25, 1941 Almerinda brought her vibrant spirit and rich cultural heritage to Columbus, Ohio, where she became a beloved member of the community. Almerinda was a kind and generous soul, known for her unwavering love and support for everyone she encountered. Her passion for cooking was evident in the delicious Italian dishes she prepared which not only nourished the body, but also warmed the hearts of family and friends. Her kitchen was a haven of love, laughter, and the delightful aromas of her culinary creations, where countless memories were made around the dinner table. In addition to her culinary talents, Almerinda dedicated her life to caring for others. As a babysitter she embraced each child as if they were her own, showering them with love, attention, and guidance. Her nurturing spirit and ability to connect with children made her a cherished figure in the lives of many families and her impact will be felt for generations to come. Almerinda's helpful and loving nature extended beyond her family and the children she cared for. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word. She is survived by sons, Andy Sborgia and Nick (Shelley) Sborgia; daughter, Adele Glandon; grandchildren, Matthew Glandon and Holly (Brian) Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lucas and Peyton Wilson; brothers, Dominic, Paul, and Nick Panzera; brothers-in-law, Fred Lombardi and Pete Iacobucci; and all her many nieces, nephews and cousins who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Cleonice (Lombardi) Panzera; first husband, Albino Sborgia; second husband, Richard Bloomfield; brother, Philip Panzera; sisters, Bambina Lombardi and Ida Iacobucci. Almerinda's legacy of kindness, love and delicious food will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. It’s very hard to say goodbye to a loved one, especially one who was so loved and remembered for her kindness and good will. Almerinda, you can be sure you will never be forgotten by those who loved you or benefitted from knowing you in some way, you always brought a smile to my face. I witnessed your selfless giving to your family and you always made me feel like a part of it when we got together. You raised three beautiful children who will forever be grateful that you were their mother. I know you are with the Lord, probably making him your famous Lasagna by request. You will be missed by all Almerinda ❤️
