Obituary

Ronald "Ron" John Cua, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 28, 2021. Born July 7, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio. Ron worked alongside his father and brother's at Cua's Market on Oakland Park. And later worked at Carfagna's and was known for "RON'S FAMOUS HAM SALAD" and was still working until the time of his death. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn Cua, brothers, Nick and his wife Rosemary Cua, Frank Cua Jr, brother-in-law Reno Bernardo, brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Cecilia Carfagna, brother-in-law, Tom Poston, a special angel Camden Jack Weatherby, granddaughter, Rebekah and her mother, Lynn Cua. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Alice (Monesi) Cua. Children, James (Patty) and children, April (Donald) Snell and their daughters, Taylor and Haylee. Sons, Marty Hanley and his son Ayden. Son, Justin Hanley. Daughter, Estella "Vicki" Giammarco and Tony Giammarco and children Anthony (Danelle) Giammarco and their son, Lincoln. Alisa (Brian) Weatherby and sons, Conner, Aiden and Owen. Son, Robert "Bob" and his wife Marie. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Frances Bernardo and her children. Joe Bernardo. Tom (Marianela) and their children, Sabrina, Samantha, Lance and Thomas. Julie (Allen) Godfrey and their children, Helena and Reno. Sister-in-law, Mary Ellen and her children, Danny, Holly and Tim Cua. Sister-in law, Karen Cua. Nephew, Nick (Cricket) Cua and their children, Kim (Douglas) Smith, Michelle (Bob) Koss. Nieces, Angie (Jim) Warren and her children Monica (Gary) Cook and Adam Smith. Franie (Tom) Quinn and her children Dominic, Danny (Teri) DeCaro. And niece Kathy (Jerry) Yates. Also survived by nephews, Dino (Terri) Carfagna, Sam (Jeanenne) Carfagna, niece, Julie (Tim) Riley. Brothers-in-law, Donald (Marlene) Monesi and their children, Bryan (Sherry) Monesi, Tammy Monesi and Natalie (Andrew) Theado. Cyril (Mary) Monesi and their children, Andrew (Megan)Monesi, Trisha Monesi and fiance (Skyler) and Dominic Monesi. Sister-in-law Linda Poston and her children, Charles (Tara) Poston, Michelle (Jason) Snyder, Lori Poston. Aunts and Uncle of the Vittorio family. Doris Rossetti, Dolly Melchiorre, Rose Zugaro and Rich Vittorio. And many other great nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday April, 7, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Ave, Columbus. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m., Thursday April 8, 2021 at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street Westerville. Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio.
