Charlene Rose (Lowry) Gallucci, age 88, passed away on November 16, 2021 at her home. She was born January 18, 1933. She graduated from West High School. She was an avid bird watcher. Charlene was a volunteer for the Columbus Literacy Council teaching reading. She had love for literature. She also volunteered as an aide in the library at St. Andrew School. She was a member of the Ohio State University Mothers' Club and the St. Andrew Women's Club. Charlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Charlene is proceeded in death by her husband of 56 years, Alfred Roy Gallucci; parents, John B. & Martha Lowry Jr.; aunt, C. Alverta McCauley; grandparents, Peter & Rose McCauley, John & Margaret Lowry Sr.; brother Donald Lowry; great-grandson, Bradley Burns; father and mother in-law, John and Bernice Gallucci Sr.; in-laws, John and Josephine Gallucci Jr., and Anthony Branco Sr. Charlene is survived by her children; Donald (Donna) Gallucci, Ellen (Steven) Purcell and David (Connie) Gallucci; grandchildren, Samantha (Stephen) Preisner, Nicholas Purcell (Mary Holmquist), Kristin (Jeff) Kincaid, Katelyn (Jordan) Koski, Allison (Jameson) Lowery, Douglas Gallucci (Savannah Covil), Kimberly James, Tiffani James, Mark (Stephanie) James Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jordan James, Leah, Elaina, and Eli James, Oliver and Juliet Koski, Riley Kincaid; sister-in-law, Rita Branco; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.The family would like to thank all of the caregivers from BrightStar and the nurses from ProMedica Hospice who took care of our mother during her time of need. Friends may call FRIDAY November 19, 2021, at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on SATURDAY November 20, 2021 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Reverend Father Michael B. Watson, Presider. FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH. Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in her name to ProMedica Hospice formerly Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Boulevard, Suite 210, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
