Rita Ann (Lacher) Thomas, August 19th, 1929 - November 4th, 2021,
passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was a 58+ year member of Immaculate Conception Church as well as a member of their choir for many years. Rita retired after over 35 years at Mt. Carmel. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory and attended St. Mary of the Springs. Rita lived life to the fullest and loved her family, her friends, and her church.
Rita was preceded in death by parents; William & Evelyn (Ramondelli) Lacher; loving husband Dean; sons, David & John; daughter in law Patrice; grandsons, Anthony & Thaddeus; brother Geno; sister Mary; and cousin Mary Alice. She will be greatly missed by her sister Nancy (John) Sommer; numerous nieces & nephews; and daughter-in-law Patti; Her children, Catherine O'Meara, Christina, Rebecca, Julie (TJ) DiCesare, Lia (Jim) Headings, Steve, Tony (Rita), Danny, Pete, Traci Burke, Meg (Marc) Miller, James, Tad; Grandchildren, Amy (Omar) Zalikha, Justin, Tony (Jessica) Nix, Hollie (Harold Bright) Rockwell, Christopher (Lindsey) DiCesare, Michael DiCesare, Alex & Andrea Headings, Jackie (Peter) Holland, Molly (Michael) Walcome, Shannon, Stacy (Dawson) Mellina, Mellissa (Jacob) Waelder, Christy, Carole, Sara Jean, Joshua (Mary) Schnack, Ali, Erin & Becca Burke, Rachel & Zach Burley, Taylor (Daniel) Goldbach, Marcos & Maxton Miller, Gabriel, Elly & Jack Thomas, Nicole, Grayson, Annie & Sam Thomas;
Great grandchildren, Ava, Mo & Nick Zalikha, Braydon, Brianna, Brynlee & Berkley Nix, Silas Rockwell, Henry & Luca Holland, Adam, Austin & Samantha Mellina, Molly & Jacqueline Schnack, Harker Burley-Westhora. Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 E North Broadway, Friday November 12th at 10:00 am, funeral mass will follow at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any veterans' organization. Private burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
