John F Freeman (73) born in Toledo, Ohio, died Monday, October 11, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Fran Freeman and his daughter, Gretchen Rozens (Todd). Also survived by sister Anne Albanese (Paul) of Kent, Ohio; Judy Malloy of Columbus, Ohio; multiple nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren, Elijah, Maria and Max Rozens. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Freeman and brother Richard Freeman. He will also be reunited with many family members waiting for his arrival. John was a graduate of Upper Arlington H.S. and obtained his Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University. He retired from his career at the Franklin County Adult Probation Department after 30 years of service. John also dedicated 30 years serving as an usher at the Ohio Stadium watching his beloved Buckeyes. He enjoyed volunteering throughout German Village and using his time helping wherever needed. The family will receive friends at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W FIFTH AVE on Monday, October 18th from 3-6 pm with Memorial Service officiated by Father Charles Cotton at 6pm. He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery on Tuesday, October 19th with a private graveside service. A Celebration of Life is planned for a future date.
