Obituary

Mary DePinto (Borders) Circelli, age 77, unexpectedly passed away of natural causes on Saturday, November 6th, 2021, while visiting Rome, Italy. Mary prepared her own words to be shared:

Dear Friends,
I have lived an amazing life and I'm so grateful to have had the support of my son, Jeff Borders, daughter-in-law, Teresa Luellen-Borders, and my grandchildren, Anna, and Jake Borders. They have been my blessings. I worked for The Columbus Dispatch newspaper for 37 years, retiring in 2007. I was a staff photographer for 25 of those years, where I worked with many talented and gifted people, with friendship continuing through today. I want to acknowledge friends that I have had all through my life. Some friends I've known since grade school, others for years, and some that I seldom saw. Nonetheless, they remained the type of friends that are never forgotten. I feel blessed for a great life! My grandparents (DePinto and Circelli) were Italian immigrants. They instilled strength and a love of family that has continued for generations.

Born in Zanesville, Ohio raised in New Lexington, Ohio. Predeceased by parents Phil and Antoinette (DePinto) Circelli. Survived by her son, Jeff (Teresa) Borders, and grandchildren Anna and Jake of Westerville, Ohio. As well as her sister, Victoria (John) Cinquepalmi of New Lexington, Ohio and her brother, Phil (Diana) Circelli of Kennedy, Texas. In addition, her cousins Monsignor Anthony Missimi and Dominic (Nancy) Missimi, Emmy, Angela, and many close relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 9th from 5-8 PM at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME (1177 W. 5th Ave, Columbus). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 10th at 11 AM at Our Lady of Victory (1559 Roxbury Road, Marble Cliff, Ohio). The burial service will be conducted at the New Lexington Cemetery on Saturday, December 11th, 2021, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, those who wish can donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of Mary's mother, Antoinette, or a charity of your choice. The family requests the unvaccinated and those who wish to wear a mask.
