Obituary

Patricia Callanan Miller, a resident of Columbus, Ohio for 63 years and a recent resident of Naples, Florida for 20 years, died in Centerburg, Ohio on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Patricia was born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 29, 1934. After graduating from the college of St. Mary’s of the Springs, she began a 10-year career at the Social Security Administration. During this period, vacation time was spent with friends in travel to Europe and Western U.S. In 1966, she married and took on the role of mother, homemaker, and the raising of four children. Upon her husband’s retirement in 1992, they moved to Naples, Florida where life focused on daily Mass and a period of volunteer work at Guadalupe Social Services. Her favorite forms of relaxation were swimming, gardening, walks on the beach and reading. As a member of St. William Catholic Church, she served many years as a reader and Eucharist minister. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim; four children, Michelle (John) Bogdue and Peggy (Curtis) Roberts of Centerburg, Ohio, Tim (Julie) of Atlanta, Georgia and Jim (Barbie) of Columbus, Ohio; and four grandchildren., T.J., Jacob, Kyle and Colin; and many beloved friends. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Parish, 1559 Roxbury Road (Marble Cliff), with Rev. Msgr. Romano Ciotola as the Celebrant. I pray that you are rejoicing with broken hearts, knowing Pat is with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and you will some day be reunited with her. Sorry I didn't get to see her when she returned to Ohio, but have fond memories of our years together at Victory and our 50th Class Reunion in Naples. What a beautiful picture.
