Mary F. DiCesare, passed away Friday evening, November 23, 2018. She entered this world on December 4, 1923. Having lost both parents (Tom and Helen Waltz) at the age of 12, and being the eldest of three siblings, she soon became the leader of the family, a role she kept for the rest of her life. On January 19, 1943, she married the love of her life, Joe DiCesare, who passed away in 2010. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Joann (Bill) Karshner; and brother, Elmer Waltz; sisters-in-law, Viola (John) Dell Italia and Jane (Ralph) Marzullo. She is survived by her son, Joe (Sukey); daughter, Bonnie (Jack) Frost; sister, Billie Nunziato; sisters-in-love, Norma (Bill) Rose and Loretta Waltz; she is also survived by her six grandchildren, Chris (Jill) Alexander, Joe (Karen) Alexander, Brittany Alexander, Joe (Katie) DiCesare, Dan (Kelly) DiCesare and Katie Garcia; 13 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Over the years, she was a leader in several organizations, such as the Bonhomie Club, Riviera Ladies Golf and Buckeye Golf that ran LPGA tournaments in the 60's and 70's. She and dad enjoyed many life-long friendships. We, her family enjoyed her loving, but tough leadership throughout her life. Thanks, mom, for the memories. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Family and friends are asked to gather on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11 a.m., for her funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet, Columbus (43215). Rev. Fr. Robert Kitsmiller, Celebrant with the Rev. Fr. Charles Cotton as Homilist. Burial, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name may be made to either St. John the Baptist Parish or Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Ave., Columbus (43214).
