I was fortunate to work with Paul and although I am not located in Columbus, he was always considerate and helpful when I contacted him. I will miss his personality as a chuckle was always shared during our conversations. He was just a good guy. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the family - take care.

I have worked with Paul for over 17 years. There was never a time he wasn't willing to help or provide guidance. I enjoyed our discussins and especially the Monday morning Buckeye critiques. He is surely missed here as he is at home.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the McCloskey family. I was fortunate enough to work with Papa Bear for the last 6 years . He was one person that you would not forget after the first time you met him. Hearing his voice bellowing throughout the floor when he spoke , or his laugh will be greatly missed. Paul had his own way of getting his point thru and was very passionate about things he did. I will greatly miss him , but I am greatful that I had the chance to meet him.

I had the privilege of working with a Paul for a number of years at AEP and I could always count on him to perform every assignment with the best attitude and dedication to excellence. He was a respected colleague with great character. As an all-around wonderful friend we have enjoyed continued contact with him and appreciate how much he was loved and will be missed by all those whose lives of which he was an inspirational part. We hope your grief will soon melt into gratefulness as you celebrate his life and are comforted by each other and our Lord’s presence and promises.

With the sad news of Paul's passing, the world has truly lost a great man. We here at AEP have lost not just an esteemed colleague, but a great friend. I had the fortune to learn a great deal from Paul in my time working with him, and I will dearly miss his company. To Paul's family and friends: I send my sincerest sympathy, and hope that everyone finds comfort in how many people's lives Paul has so positively affected.

First off my deepest condolences to the McClosky family. I'm from Corpus Christi, Texas and I have worked with Paul since 2009, mostly on the telephone. I was very saddened and hearbroken to hear of Paul's passing. I never met him in person, but I considered him as someone I could count on, call, and just enjoy conversation, especially golf for hours on end. He was always willing to help and go the extra mile on projects and information we needed. May he watch down on us. Paul was certainly one of the "good guys".

I met Paul in 2010 while working project at AEP. I work in Oklahoma and working remote from some of your co-workers is not always easy but I could always count on Paul to help and guide me with any request needed. His upbeat personality was so refreshing and he always made me feel like my request was the most important even though I knew he had a million things he was working on. You don't find many people like that these days and he will be greatly missed here at AEP. I will be praying for peace and comfort for your family during this time.

I am so Blessed to have worked with Paul McCloskey on the MACSS/OPS program. We were sent across the States for over a couple of years and had engaged in many training classes. It was a wonderful once in a lifetime experience I will always remember. Paul had a way to put a spark of smile and energy into everything he did. When I think of our days at AEP how wonderful it was to have the opportunity I experience in my work career.

God Bless Paul McCloskey and Bless Hope and his children.

Our heartfelt condolences to you Hope and family. Paul and I worked together at AEP from the mid 80s until I retired in 2005. I considered Paul a dear friend while working and after my retirement. We had many good times together at work, Skyline and golf. We were each other's sounding board. I know he loved you and the kids as he expressed that to me often. May God's grace be with you all in the coming days.

My deepest sympathies to Hope and the McCloskey family. Paul McCloskey was a great friend. When I first started at AEP, he would explain everything he knew, made time to teach and was patient. I always looked forward to talking with him after I had a good round of golf or if I just needed a break from work to talk. He was always super friendly and jolly, and I could count on him for great conversation. He would give me pointers on my golf game and sold me his Mizuno golf clubs, something I have now to remember him by. He would always ask how my girlfriend was doing in RCIA and I was excited to tell him when we got engaged. He will be greatly missed at AEP, and I will miss my friend.

I met Paul many years ago when I lived in Canton. We did Train the Trainer together for OPS. I later relocated to Columbus and was fortunate to work on the same floor with him. Paul was very knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to share it. I will truly miss him. His face would just light up when I asked about the granddaughter. He shared some pictures with me last week. I will miss him terribly. He would always ask me HOW YOU DOIN? My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May God give you strength and comfort now and in the days ahead.

While my time working with Paul in the AEP Ohio Operations group in the late nineties was short, I like his fellow co-workers am deeply saddened to learn of his sudden passing. Paul was a special co-worker and friend. His good nature, infectious laugh, and love of life will always be what I remember of Paul as well as his love of OSU Football and Skyline Chili.

My deepest sympathy to all of Paul’s family, he truly was a special person, not only one of the good guys, but was one of the best of the best people that anyone could ever have the pleasure to meet and know.

Hope, my heart aches for you and everyone who was blessed to have had the pleasure of meeting him and knowing him. I've never met a man who talked so much about how much he loved his wife and you were the best thing that ever happened to him. I would always tell him you better tell her what you tell us. He was truly a blessing to me and I will miss him so much. We sat next to each other and his 'How You Doin' would always make me smile. We talked a lot after my husband passed away. He was so caring and always checked up on me. He would show me pictures all the time of you, his kids and the new grandbaby. He glowed when he talked about her. I would hear him playing that video of her giggling over and over again. He brought so much joy to all of us and will be missed sooo much! My heart goes out to you and everyone he touched. Rest in Peace my friend. Miss you already!!!

As we have talked around the office this week we keep saying that we want to be 'A Paul'. We want to be remembered the way we are remembering Paul. He made an impact on me with his upbeat and cheerful demeanor. He always asked after my husband (who is also a co-worker) and our kids. He made a point to always speak when we passed one another. He was one of the good guys and his presence around here at work has already and will continue to be missed. May your family be blessed and comforted as you begin to heal from his absence.
