Margaret Mary "Peggy" Miller passed away on May 3, the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the age of 83 years. Born January 13, 1935 in Columbus, she attended St. Augustine Grade School and St. Mary High School. Peggy worked at a loan company and then Limbaugh Construction Co. as a switchboard operator and receptionist. In later years, she enjoyed working part time at the information booth at Northland Mall. She was a wonderful nurturing mother to seven children. Some favorite memories are her beloved smile, her amazing ability to recall obscure birthdates and anniversaries and the individual baggies of fresh baked cookies waiting after school on the kitchen table for each one of her children. Peggy enjoyed traveling with her family. From the Cape Canaveral Apollo night launch in 1972 with all seven children packed in the station wagon, to sawing dinosaur bones with husband Hugh on archaeological digs, she was game for anything. Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jacob Miller, as well as her parents, George and Florence Priest, and her six siblings, Jim, Rita, Bob, Tom, Don and Chuck. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hugh Miller, and her children, Jeannie (Mark) Watters, Kevin (Vicki) Miller, Lori (Scott) McKenzie, Mary (Brad) Poston, Brian (Angie) Miller, Matt (Holly) Miller, and Lisa (Ramon) Capetillo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah, Ellen, and Megan Watters; Tyler and Andrew Miller; Katie McKenzie; Jarrod and Sammy Poston; John, Becca, Patrick, and Sophia Miller; Madison, Audrey, and Lily Miller; and Santiago Capetillo. Peggy will be sorely missed. Calling hours will be Monday, May 7, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Ave. Columbus, 43212. A solemn High Mass will be celebrated in Latin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, by Fr. Kevin Lutz at Holy Family Catholic Church, 584 W. Broad St., Columbus. Interment Resurrection Cemetery immediately following Mass. Special thanks from Peggy’s family to Ohio Health Hospice for their loving care and support of her and of us. We also wish to thank the staff of the Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center and Arlington Court Nursing Facility for caring for our mother these past years. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
