Condolences on losing a beloved family member. Father Mario was a special part of our family. He always greeted our daughters Brianna and Samantha with a blessing and a radiant smile. We will always remember Father joining our family this year as we walked up for a family blessing. He paused giving blessings in his line to join our family so we could be blessed together. Our lives are forever touched.

The Pizza Man; That is what he was affectionately known as at St. Bernadett's in Lancaster Ohio. He was an awesome big hearted always smiling individual that communicated extremely well. He made my family better Christians and my daughter Lori a missionary for 7 years in Spain. He will be in my garden of life's found memories for his friendship and being a disciple of Christ truly.

My family and I were very saddened to hear of Father Mario's passing. I first knew him when he was at St. Mark's in Lancaster. He did my uncle's funeral in the late 70's. I still remember his message that as my uncle was hunting mushrooms in the forest, perhaps God also may have been in his forrest and that God decided to call one of his select followers home to him. His message was quite meaningful to a 13 year old struggling with the death of an uncle in his 30's.

When Mario came to Saint John's in CW, he was instrumental in my wife's journey through RCIA. What a kind, caring, unassuming carrier of our faith he was. Never condescending, never presumptuous, just nurturing, caring, and above all with that wonderful sense of humor. I'll miss his sense of humor most. Thank you Msgr. Mario for your ministry to me and my family. As much as we miss you here, we know you're now with your heavenly family. God bless.
