Obituary

John Gallicchio, age 73, was born October 15, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio and died January 16, 2018, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He spent most of his life living in the Linden area of Columbus and after retirement moved to London, Ohio. He retired from the City of Columbus, Facilities Management. He loved fishing, golfing, and playing the lottery. He also enjoyed cooking Italian meals for his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gallicchio Sr., and Betty (Mathews); and brother, James Michael. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Hern); son and fishing buddy, John Jr., and daughter-in-law Susan; grandchildren, John Tyler Gallicchio, Crystal Gallicchio, Samantha Gallicchio, Ronda White and Deanna Urton; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Robert, James J. and Gary (Cindy) Gallicchio and sisters, Carol (John) Hewitt, Emma (Terry) Martin, Patty Salter and Ava Gallicchio; uncle James Gallicchio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including his best friend, D.D. Colombini. Friends may call on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, where his funeral will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11 a.m., with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne.
