Obituary

James J. DiMarzo Sr., age 90, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Laurels of Worthington in the care of Grace Hospice, both of whom the family wishes to gratefully thank for their care and devotion to James. He was born on March 21, 1927, to the late Antonio and Josephine DiMarzo; in addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Sam; and sisters, Francis, Mickey and Carmella; step-son, Dean Livingston; and son-in-law, James Coffey. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Tony, Sammy, Jimbo (wife, Gina and their children, Danielle and Anthony); only daughter, Jenny DiMarzo Coffey (and her son, Joe and his wife Laurel); step-sons, Mike and Al Livingston; brother, Sandy; and sister, Jenny; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Jim served the greater Columbus area in the pizza business for over 40 years. Friends may call on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 11 a.m., until 1 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, with the funeral concluding vistation at 1 p.m. Burial, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. I would like to say how sorry I am to hear of the passing of your father ! I will miss having long conversations with him ! He was a very kind loving man and I loved hearing his stories of the past and I learn so much from just talking with him! Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss and know that he is in a better place now looking over us all ! You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time !
