Obituary

Thomas Michael Amicon, age 64 of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, after a valiant effort to fight pancreatic cancer and complications following a surgical procedure. He showed tremendous strength and courage over the last many months up until his last breath when the Lord called him home. Tom's love for his family was abundant, his career as a realtor rewarding and belief in God unyielding. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Amicon. He is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Marsha Amicon; his daughter, Kate Shneyder and husband Boris; son, Matt Amicon and wife Ashley; daughter, Patti Grimes and husband Ronnie; daughter, Amie Swaddling and husband Jeff, and son, Ronnie Scherer and wife Kristen. He leaves behind four brothers and sisters and their spouses, Chuck Amicon, Mary and Sam Hulett, Dianne and Jack Schoolcraft, Jimmy and Jeanne Amicon. He was "Uncle Tom" to more than 14 and was lucky enough to be the grandfather, the papa, the T-daddy, the grandpa to 23 grandchildren and counting. He was simply the best! A service honoring his life will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, with his family receiving friends from 3 p.m. until time of the service. I first met Tom during the Dairy Queen days when he called me "the fudge lady" because I always asked for extra hot fudge and I always got it! Next, we both ended up realtors and he was one of the best ever to work with! He did our industry proud and it was always a pleasure knowing he was at the other end to co-op with. Always friendly and always smiling. I will miss him. Deepest sympathy to you all.
