Obituary
Pasquale Antonio Vaccari, age 83, of Columbus, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 24, 1933 in Delianuova, Reggio Calabria, Italy to Domenic and Maria Vaccari. He immigrated to the United States when he was 16 to ensure a better life. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Catherine Stefanelli on February 9, 1955. He enjoyed playing cards and his Thursday luncheons with his friends. But nothing gave him more enjoyment and happiness than the time spent with his family. He was a member of the American-ltalian Club, Abruzzi Club, Guild Athletic Club and Liberty Club. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth; children, Domenic (Terri) Vaccari, Anna Coleman, Frank (Julie) Vaccari, Joe (Jeannie) Vaccari, Rita (Mark) Pavuk; grandchildren, Robert, Becky, Elizabeth, Mark, Nick, Christina, Frankie, Adam, Patrick, Daniella, Anthony, Michaela, Izzie, Addie, Ellie; great-grandchildren, Ben, Mason and Vivienne; brothers-in-law, Danny (Dixie) Stefanelli and Aurelio Princi; sister-in-law, Francesca Vaccari; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Pino; sister, Anna Princi; sister-in-law, Frances (Simone) Giuliani; in-laws, Frank and Domenica Stefanelli. Friends may call on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue (with a GAC service at 7:30 p.m.). Family and friends are asked to gather at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street (Italian Village) for his funeral Mass on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow, Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH (43214). Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
