Obituary

Eugene Bernard "Gene" Conrad, Jr., age 55, died on Friday, April 21, 2017. He was born in Canton, Ohio, on August 17, 1961, the son of Eugene and Marcia (Monaco) Conrad, who preceded him in death; he is also preceded in death by his sister, Christie Conrad. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Czajka) Conrad; son, Jacob Conrad; brother, Ralph (Suzy) Conrad; sister, Roxann Conrad; sister-in-law, Carol (David) Hamer; sister-in-law, Cathy Strippy; nephews, Kevin Conrad and Thomas Strippy; nieces, Alicia Conrad and Sarah Strippy. Gene was a self-employed computer trainer, having traveled extensively working as instructor in computer technology. A Mass honoring his life will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road (Marble Cliff), where friends may call one hour prior to the Mass. Rev. Msgr. Romano Ciotola, Celebrant. Private family burial at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with JOHN QUINT TREBONI, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. The last several years have been such a blessing, being able to make trips to Canton with Gene and just be brothers... He was a big guy with a bigger heart and I will miss him forever.
