Obituary
Guido Mario Covelli, age 83, passed away on Easter, April 16, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Rosa Covelli; and loving brother, Giuseppe. He is survived by his wife, Josephine; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Jennifer Covelli; daughter, Tricia Merenda; niece, Rosangela; nephew, Antonio; and all his wonderful paisano's in the U.S. and overseas. He was a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America for over 55 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Church in Steubenville and St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church in Columbus, where he was able to get closer to God - whom he credits for giving him a loving family and many friends. His family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road (Marble Cliff). Entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Guido's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 2215 Citygate Drive, Columbus, OH (43219). Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Profondamente addolorato, rivolgo vive e sentite condoglianze per la scomparsa del caro Guido, uomo e amico impareggiabile, dotato di spiccate qualità morali e umane, che ha sempre ancorato il suo stile di vita agli alti valori dell'amicizia, dell'altruismo,della solidarietà, dell'onestà e dell'amore per la sua famiglia. Resta sempre impresso nella mia memoria la magnifica giornata trascorsa con Guido qui, a Terranova di Pollino, in occasione della cerimonia, in cui ho intitolato una piazza del paese al fratello Giuseppe. Quel giorno, sul volto luminoso di Guido, si leggeva una gioia immensa. Possa il Signore accoglierlo nel suo Regno celeste.
