I have warm memories of Bernice; I met her at The Ohio School for the Deaf when I started teaching there in 1980. She was always kind, and generous toward everyone -- we could count on her when she subbed for our classes. In addition, our school benefitted from her ability as a pianist when she played for our graduation ceremonies, including selections sung by the staff choir. (I helped to lead the choir for the two or three years before Bernice retired -- it was a pleasure to work with her).

My thoughts and prayers are with you, her family, as you celebrate Bernice's life. She will be remembered fondly by all those who knew her at OSD.

Sincerely,

Laura Smith

Cindy, Brian and family:

Sorry to learn of your mother's passing. While I know these times aren't easy, the peace that she now resides in Heaven can make it a bit easier. Your mother lived a fabulous life on earth and will never be forgotten.
