Anthony R. "Tony" Fudoli, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2016. He was born on February 20, 1922, in New Lexington, Ohio, to Antonietta and Michael Fudoli. He attended The Ohio State University for two years prior to entering the Air Force during WWII. He was a staff sergeant for the 120th AAF Base Unit stationed at Richmond Army Air Base in Richmond, VA. He was honorably discharged after 40 months of service. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 68 years, Frances A. (Colaprete) Fudoli. They have two children, Michael (Angela) Fudoli, who reside in Tampa, Florida and Olinda (Kevin) Hissrich, who reside in Hilliard, Ohio. They have one grandson, Tyler Hissrich; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha and Vito Checchio; sister-in-law, Ann Albanese (Tom) Brennan; aunt, Rosaline Epifano; and numerous nephews,nieces and cousins. Tony retired after 35 years in the building business. He was a builder of custom homes and owned and operated A.R. Fudoli Builders. Tony was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved all OSU sports. He played golf and bowled for a major part of his life with longtime friends. Tony was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2898. The family would like to extend thanks to Kindred at Home (Hospice) for their support and understanding. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 4-7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue (with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.). Family and friends are asked to gather at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2016, for his funeral Mass at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Road (Hilliard). Rev. Fr. Thomas Gardner, Presider. Entombment to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Tony's memory to Kindred Home Health Care Service, 540 Officecenter Pl., Gahanna, OH 43230.
