[Obituary]
[Funeral/Service]
[Condolences]

Donald Anthony "Don" Lombardo, age 72, passed away on Tuesday February 7th 2017 at his home in Upper Arlington. Don was born July 1, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio to John and Ann (Vicario) Lombardo. His strong Catholic faith guided him every day of his life. He was a longtime member of St. Andrew Parish and more recently, Our Lady of Victory Parish. His kind and gentle nature made a difference in many lives. Don loved photography, music and concerts; football, especially OSU football. He often talked about the time he was able to see in person OSU beat their longtime rival, Michigan at "The Shoe." More than anything, Don's greatest love was spending time with his wife, Debbie, and their four beloved "fur-babies" Lulu, Perkins, Henry and Simon. He always said that coming home to his family was the best part of his day. Don is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann; brothers, Danny, Dicky and John; uncle, Weatie; nephew, Tony; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind his wife of almost 23 years, Debbie; sister, Dorothy Vicario; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; in-laws, Martin and Sylvia Teeuwen; sister-in-law, Leilani; and niece and goddaughter, Emma. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road (Marble Cliff), where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m., until time of Mass. Rev. Msgr. Romano Ciotola, Presider. Entombment to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Don to Our Lady of Victory Parish, the National Shrine of the Miraculous Medal or the Capital Area Humane Society.
