Elizabeth Rosemary Hawkins, passed away on Feb. 3, 2017, in New Albany, OH. Beth was born in Flint, Michigan in 1928 to Howard and Elizabeth Leach. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1946 and from Endicott Junior College in Beverly, Massachusetts in 1948. She married Robert Hawkins in August of 1950. She is survived by two daughters Bethany Waters (Edward) of Melbourne, FL and Deborah Susi (Edwin) of New Albany OH. Beth was active in the Junior League of Flint. She was a Board Member of Child Welfare Society of Flint who owned & operated Cedar Street Childrenís Center. She was a member of the P.E.O. sisterhood, Chapter AY. Beth was a member of St. Paulís Episcopal Church in Flint, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach, FL, and a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in New Albany, OH. The Hawkins family moved from Flint to Grand Blanc, MI in 1970. Beth spent her last 30 winters in Vero Beach, FL. Upon moving to New Albany OH in 2015, she loved spending time with her new friends at the Blendon Woods Senior Center, with the All Saints stitching group, and with many friends at the monthly All Saints Girls Night Out events. The daughters will receive visitors at ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 5101 Johnstown Rd, New Albany, OH at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. A Celebration of Bethís Life will follow at 6:30 pm. Later this summer, a graveside ceremony will be held in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 5105 Johnstown Rd., New Albany, OH 43054.
